5 Things I Like About My Body
The human body is an interesting creation. Growing up, there have always been endless assumptions about how I would look when I got older, and regardless of whether their predictions were nice or nasty, I always found it interesting to hear how people envisioned I would look in the future based on how they saw me in the moment. If I remember correctly, I believe it was about ten years ago when I finally looked in the mirror and decided I was really grateful and content with the body I had been given to live in. It was an interesting journey to acceptance and appreciation, and while it hasn’t always been easy over the years as things changed in ways I hadn’t really expected or hoped, it’s beyond doubt that I will always embrace my body as a beautiful work of art.
The other day I was looking at my ass in the mirror and I thought about how important it is to consciously embrace our unique beauty as individuals. It’s kinda funny because I was writing an article about depression at the time, and I was thinking about how much fun it might be to post an article as an expression of self-love while also sharing an example of what an action of self-love could be for others.
