When I look in the mirror and affirm this statement, I think of how grateful I am that I learned this lesson ahead of the pandemic of 2020.
In August 2018 I got pretty sick. For a period of about four months, I was on bed rest, and for the beginning of this period I actually could not walk without a cane — it was a season of my life I will never forget.
During this time, I sometimes struggled with how to spend my days. There was only so much I could do, since I was in constant pain. I couldn’t go anywhere, and even though my go to activity when I’m in a funk (or when I generally have the time, lol) is to watch something funny, however, laughing was often quite painful in the first few weeks. It was a ten out of ten “do not recommend” type of experience, and every day of my life, I am grateful I made it out.
There are many things I learned about myself during this time, about my unique giftings and potential. It was a time where I spoke to God, and God spoke to me. It was a time…
