Goodbye 2021. Don’t come back.

As this year (finally) comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things. Like how I wish I had been able to do more things, travel more places and see more people. I wish I had made more money in business this year, created more new client relationships and started hiring more team members. Above all, I wish the human mind would naturally default to more positive things. As difficult as it may be, I think that last one is still doable.

2021 has been a challenging year for us, and COVID’s plans for New Year’s haven’t made the transition into 2022 any easier. Last week I got the flu and couldn’t travel home to be with family, but what’s worse is that I couldn’t even travel through my own city for a week while I stayed inside all through Christmas trying my best to recover. And that to me feels like the perfect picture of the last 12 (actually 22) months.

It’s true, this year has had a lot of really low moments. But there’s a lot of good to remember too. Professionally, personally, and (of course) musically. Let’s take a look.
