Hi there. It’s been a very long time since I sat down and wrote an article, and as you can see from the title, this one is going to be anything but easy.
I’ve recently taken time to reflect on a lot of things, and as this article goes live, I’m sure I’ll still be working on overcoming some of the challenges mentioned below. Being that this is one of my longer pieces, I’m going to break it into sections, and publish it in parts. Trigger warnings include candid discussions about mental health and suicide.
UNSEEN, UNHEARD AND UNWANTED
One of the greatest narratives of my young life is the feeling of being unseen, unheard, and unwanted. These experiences exist in my personal life, professional life, and even on social media.
I understand that many people will relate to this on some level, but please consider allowing me to finish before saying “I know how you feel” and closing this page for good. I often feel as though I am screaming at the top of my lungs and no one is listening. Either that or no one cares.
