I Just Published My 10th Article

Here are 03 key things I’ve learned about blogging with Medium.

Writing the first lines of a new article is often a weird moment for me, especially since I’ve been wanting to publish at least one new story per day. As of this writing I have a 33 page Google Doc full of ideas, plans and drafts, and it’s like every time I open a new page to start writing I’m all like “hOw doEs oNe WriTe a StoRy?”

Apparently I already know the answer to this question. You literally just write. I mean, of course I already know this, but for some strange reason I think I just keep hiding it from myself every time I sit down to tell a story. Surely I’m not the only one. Anyway, the story I’m writing about now is all about article number 10. I was literally looking at my page on Medium just now when I noticed I’m about to publish my tenth article since becoming an author on Medium. And that’s crazy because up until four days ago I had published a total of three articles over the course of five months.

Although I’ve been here for almost half a year at this point, there is still so much I have yet to learn about writing on Medium, and I certainly haven’t spent a lot of time conducting research on it either.
