WEEK 07–2022: SPREAD LOVE

Have you ever felt that sneaking little suspicion that you’re falling behind in life? Whether you connect that feeling to the concept that others are ahead of you or not (I certainly don’t), the feeling that life is moving on without you can sometimes feel overwhelming andor discouraging.

This week and last week, I spent a lot of time reading and responding to (and also discarding) the 500+ stories in my general bookmarks on Medium, and it was a real eye opening experience regarding some of the poor quality practices that I’ve been embracing in my personal life as well as my professional life as a digital content creator and social media entrepreneur.

Sometimes, if we’re not careful, we get into this habit of “saving stuff for later” to the point that we’ve saved so much but used so very little of what we set aside or marked as important. As I sifted through the lot of stories bookmarked, I noticed that some of them had been set aside for months, and many of them were very similar, maybe even too similar for me to even bother reading. I made it a point to get through my entire list of general bookmarks before writing or publishing another story of my own, and I’m grateful I did that because it allowed me to learn more about other writers and content creators without the…
