WEEKLY AFFIRMATION 05
I spent the greater part of last year participating in different rooms on Clubhouse, a highly popular social audio app that launched during the pandemic, quickly becoming the number one app in its field and inspiring competition from such platforms as Instagram, Twitter and Spotify. For a few months I would spend the first few hours of my day tuning into daily conversations in the Millionaire Breakfast Club, led by automotive sales leader Glenn Lundy, as I worked on various reports and writing tasks for my business. The one thing that always stuck out to me was the fact that although there were many people in the room with very strong beliefs (I’ve never met a millionaire who didn’t have any), the commitment to diversity at the ‘breakfast table’ was focused on creating a space where people who may have different minds could come together because they shared the same heart, and they were open to understanding one another through honest conversation in a safe space.
This morning I opened up a (secret I will tell you about later) book to discover a new affirmation for this week. Here’s what I read:
I am open to learning from others, even when their opinions and beliefs are not the same as my own.
