It’s all in your head.
This week has had me thinking about an affirmation I recently wrote about, the one that suggests “I have everything I need.” If you only knew what the last several days of my life have been like, then you would understand how in order for that statement to be effective or true in every area of my life, I really need to exercise some faith. Due in part to some of the challenges I’ve had with this affirmation, I took some time to really reflect on what it means for me in my current situation, and here’s what I’ve determined it all comes down to:
THE POWER OF A MINDSET.
In order for a positive affirmation, a prayer or a mediation to really work, I have to actually believe in it. When your current life doesn’t currently meet the reality of what your affirmation/prayer/meditation declares, your faith can seem more like a sacrifice similar to those required to perform incantations on Netflix’s The Order than a source of motivation. So I actually took some time to dig deeper, and learn more about what we know about the power of a mindset.
